Yankees-Stonewall Scholarship Opportunity; deadline 4/5/24

NYC Public Schools, in partnership with the Stonewall Inn and the New York Yankees, are partnering for the 6th Annual Yankee-Stonewall Scholarship Initiative. This one-time scholarship of $10,000 will be awarded to a NYCPS high school student from each borough. The five recipients will be announced in Spring 2024.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

• A current Senior in high school
• Intending to attend a two-year or four-year college
• A member of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, Queer or Questioning (LGBTQ+) community or someone who has contributed significantly to the LGBTQ+ community
• At least a 2.5 GPA

The Yankees-Stonewall Scholarship Initiative was created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Inn uprising and celebrate the achievements of New York City Public School students.
