Ms. Marissa Maggio shares that on September 5th, the students in Urban Ecology classes went to Redhook Farm for a day of Urban Agriculture. Students learned about the history of farming within the five boroughs, tasted honey straight from the hive, volunteered on the farm to remove weeds and invasives from the perimeter of the farm.
