Ms. Marissa Maggio shares that on Saturday, October 13th. the Urban Ecology class went to Red Hook Farm for a tour, a lecture on the history of Urban Farming and to complete some volunteer work.
On Monday and Wednesday of that week the Urban Ecology classes also went on a walking tour of the High Line, to learn of the history and redevelopment of the Meat Packing district and the grass roots efforts that saved the High Line and saw it developed into one of the most visited spots in NYC.
