UC Application Webinars in October 2026

The UC Application submission period opened on October 1, 2026! As you consider applying to UC Santa Barbara (especially those outside of California), here are a few resources and tips to help navigate the University of California (UC) application.

Key reminders for your students:

• The fall 2027 UC application submission period is Oct. 1–Nov. 30 (no early action or early decision). Encourage your students to take their time, there’s no rush!
• UC requires its own Personal Insight Questions (different from standard essays). Watch the Breaking Down the PIQs playlist and share with your students!
• UC application review is holistic. We consider students academic performance and involvement both inside and outside of the classroom. Watch the Analyzing Activities and Awards playlist for guidance on how students can best convey their involvement.
• Students should cross-check their unofficial transcripts while completing their application (official transcripts are not required prior to admission decisions unless requested).
