Mr. Harold Stephan shares that it's time to record the "NYC Song of Hope" - Nearly 100 students submitted song ideas from elementary, middle, and high schools across all five boroughs, including Stuyvesant students Leah D'Silva, Sequoia Rabinovic and Silvia Hanna. After carefully reviewing these submissions, we rolled together lyrics and melodic content from 15-20 specific submissions into one cohesive song with an uplifting message. Our next step in creating our NYC anthem is to gather as many video-recorded performances as possible in order to produce a virtual performance of the song that captures the energy of many voices together in unity.

Please participate by video-recording yourself rapping and/or singing the student written "NYC Song of Hope". (If you also play an instrument, music charts are included so you can make a video of yourself playing the song.) The due date is Thursday, June 11. Complete details are on Google Classroom, in the assignment "NYC Song of Hope - Phase 2". Log into your stuy.edu email and join us using code: wjtofye
