This week, Stuyvesant welcomed accepted students and their families of the Class of 2023 on Monday, March 25th for Open House! We thank the hundreds of student volunteers, Big Sibs and ARISTA, that led tours. Stuy Legacy who gave three show-stopping dance performances in the theatre, and our Jazz Band who entertained our guests in the theatre with their talent and spoke to parents and students about our musical ensembles. Mr. Contreras, Ms. Pedrick and Ms. Ingram were joined by Stuyvesant Alumna, Erika Irish Brown, ’86, was our special guest speaker. Special thanks to the Parent’s Association and to their fund-raising efforts as well as 42 volunteer parents that offered advice and experiences. All of our Assistant Principals and many teachers and staff members provided demonstrations and our clubs and sports teams also supported the event.
