Ms. Rosanny Genao shared photos and insights into the World Language Department's 2022 celebration of la Día de los Muertos last week that Ms. Frieda Ambia spearheaded in planning this year. Cultural lessons carried in celebration of el Día de Los Muertos in Ms. Genao’s Spanish II and Spanish III classes in room 740 are part of this slide show. Students learned about Day of the dead traditions and the history behind the distinct and unique celebrations not just in Mexico, but throughout Central and South America by working on different learning stations. The alter and the Pan de pan de muerto in Ms. Genao's classroom we’re just the beginning, the motivation! There was an ofrenda (offering) on the 5th floor, face-painting stations, and the east wing of the department was adorned for the celebration!
