Stuyvesant Red Cross will host an International Humanitarian Law Presentation on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 3:50pm - 5pm in the cafeteria for students. Join us!
Special guest speaker, Mr. Robert Bernstein will begin with a short background on the Red Cross & its role internationally, emphasizing its deep commitment to conflict mitigation for non-combatants. Mr. Bernstein serves as Volunteer Leadership Partner at SAF Community Relations and Outreach Lead-NYC and Regional IHL Lead for the Greater New York Region of theAmerican Red Cross. He will discuss the seven principles, components and emblems of the movement and how local US chapters fit into the international movement.
There will be a discussion of the Laws Of War, how they are sourced & how they apply to US policy overseas in conflict with the role of planning for conflict. All Stuy students are welcome!
