Stuy's new Blue Planet Alliance Ambassadors participated in World Oceans Day Beach Clean Up on June 11, 2022! The Beach clean up took place in Coney Island and was one of three worldwide - the blue planet Ambassadors in Guam and Palao also held events! Freshman, Alyssa Kang rode from Prospect Park to Coney Island with the Blue Planet Alliance, including Founder, Henk Rogers, Stuy '72, in support of renewable energy and alternative transportation options. Students, blue planet reps and Ms. Maggio then participated in a two-hour beach clean up in with the NY aquarium. The event was followed by an afternoon of volleyball and yoga on the beach.
