Twenty Stuyvesant students participated in a Washington, D.C. college and cultural exploration trip, visiting George Washington University, HBCU's Howard University, and the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Students toured two vibrant college campuses, spoke with current undergraduates, Stuyvesant alumnus, and during both, the info sessions and campus tours, learned about academic programs, admissions pathways, and student life. The final stop of the trip was the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Our students engaged deeply with the museum’s historical and cultural exhibits, gaining a richer understanding of African American history, contributions, and its impact on the nation. We hope this experience strengthened everyone's sense of community and expanded their awareness of the academic and cultural landscapes and opportunities beyond New York City.
