StuyMUNC 2019

Joshua also shares that last weekend, on Saturday, April 13th Stuyvesant Model UN had the privilege of hosting StuyMUNC: our premiere conference for the Tri-State Area held at Stuyvesant High School. Following up on the success of MiniMUNC – our first ever training conference for New York City delegates – this past October, we welcomed a record high of well over 300 delegates to StuyMUNC. We hosted a plethora of committees: from General Assemblies discussing the protection of the rights of Indigenous Peoples and curbing infant mortality to Specialized and Crisis Committees discussing an eclectic variety of topics such as a committee dedicated to the Yakuza and another to the Indo-Pakistani conflict. Our entire list of committees, their topics, and descriptions can be found at http://stuymun.com/committees. Not only did visiting delegates have a great time, but so did our delegates as all of our members – from freshmen to seniors – participated in the running of the conference. We look forwards to further growing StuyMUNC in the future, and are thankful to everyone who participated in, staffed, and supported this conference. (photo courtesy of Joshua Weiner)
