Stuy Library Closure during AP Exams

Stuy Library Closure during AP Exams

The Library will be closed during AP Exams, May 5th through 23rd. In the event the Library is able to open for any partial days during the AP Exam period, open access times will be communicated day-to-day on the Library website (stuy.libguides.com) as well as the Stuy Library Instagram and Facebook accounts (@stuylib).
Many digital resources are available on the Library website (stuy.libguides.com), including but not limited to:

  • Our online library catalog (Destiny Discover) to see what print or digital books are available. Students may email the librarians (02M475StuyvesantLibrary@schools.nyc.gov) with any print books they would like to borrow, and a librarian can check books out and deliver them to students' classrooms pending availability.
  • Sora (mobile app or soraapp.com on the web) provides access to ebooks and audiobooks owned by Stuyvesant specifically or NYC schools citywide using student DOE logins. (Students may also connect your public library cards to their Sora account to search their digital collections as well.)
  • Research Databases - login information is available on the Master Password tab.  If needed, students may obtain the master password from a teacher or by emailing the Librarians.

In addition to emailing the librarians with book requests, students may also request one-on-one appointments during their free periods to get Librarian assistance with research and citations.
For in-school printing needs, students will need to use the 2nd Floor print station while the Library is closed.  Students should notify Ms. Rivera or Mr. Lin in Room 209 if they encounter any technical difficulties with 2nd Floor printers so the problems can be addressed in a timely manner.
