This past weekend, Stuyvesant in collaboration with the SHSAA, Mosaic Outreach committee of the Parent's Association, and other Specialized High Schools hosted the 2026 BIPOC Youth Summit at Stuyvesant. Despite record low temperatures and a snow postponement, it was a great turn out and a fun day for all.
The event was focused on Forward-Focused Resilience. The purpose of this youth summit is to provide a safe space for NYC’s specialized high school BIPOC students (which includes Black, African American, Caribbean American, Latina/o/x, Native American, Indigenous, and People of Color) enrolled in grades 9-12 to discuss lived experiences, explore resources, and build a continued support network.
