Our Oratorio Choir performed at the Black History Month celebration at Town Hall theater yesterday. Our students did a great job - I was very proud of them.
The first song we sang was “City Called Heaven” arranged by J. Poelinitz (our senior Tahlia Jamir singing the solo). The second piece was “Music Down in My Soul” by Moses Hogan.
Here is a video LINK of just our set (much better audio quality).
Here is the entire performance's Youtube link from the livestream (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1g7OdZhI9XM&t=1959s)- there is a presentation, some speeches, then Talent Unlimited performance, then Stuy (around 44min into it), then LaGuardia's Gospel Choir, and then a combined "Lift Every Voice and Sing."
Huge thank you to Harold Stephan for all of his help and to our parent chaperones who came with us.
