The College Board Advanced Placement (AP) exams will be administered in May 2025 as indicated on the Stuyvesant High School AP Exam Schedule. Please review the information below to determine if/what action steps you may need to take.
Regular Fall Registration for AP Exams ended in November 2024 for full year AP courses and Fall Term only AP courses.
Stuyvesant High School’s final deadline (no exceptions) to complete registration for all AP examinations is Monday, March 3, 2025. Please review the following to determine if the situation applies to you:
AP Exam Deregistration
Students who have already registered for an AP examination, but have decided to NOT take the exam, must deregister. The fee for canceling an exam is $40 per exam. This applies even to students qualifying for or no-fee AP exams for economic hardship. Students who wish to deregister from an AP exam must see Ms. Fanelli in room 209 or email her at gfanellli@schools.nyc.gov to complete the deregistration process. Please note, if you submit payment for an AP exam and decide to deregister or do not take the AP exam, then refunds for the cost of the exam (excluding the $40 fee and service charges) will be issued.
Please note the Fee Status at the top of each letter to individual students and families. This indicates whether you are a student who, after qualifying s for economic hardship, will have exam costs covered by the NYC Department of Education (NYC DOE). If your letter indicates that no Family Income Inquiry Form was submitted for the 2024-2025 school year, you may apply for hardship support by submitting the form before April 15, 2025. The school will update the student MYAP account with Fee Status information. You must abide by the fee deadline of March 3, 2025 regardless of a change in fee status. Should your fee status result in a refund, it would be processed after the exams conclude in the Spring.
