Speech & Debate Coach, Ms. Julie Sheinman shares that on October 2, 2021, 30 of our Speech and Congressional Debate members competed at a virtual tournament. The contest has traditionally been held at Stuyvesant, so even though we were virtual, it was held the name "Stuyvesant".
Many of the students competing were first timers. The response to joining the team has been wonderful.
Stuyvesant fielded two champions last weekend in addition to many finalists.

Melia Moore champion of Oral Interp
William Summitt Champion of Congressional Debate (catch the video of the announcement of his National Title!)
Other finalists include Kevin Zhang and Eshaal Ubaid in Extemp
Michelle Wang in Oral Interp
Zhaklene Saunders and Olivia Woo in Congressional Debate.
