SPARK is an additional counseling service/support program where students can meet and assist others in a warm, friendly, confidential atmosphere. School Counselor, Mr. Angel Colon runs Stuyvesant’s SPARK program in Room 726 along with all the clubs under the Stuy Unity umbrella. This month, February, is Black History Month as well as the annual Respect for All campaign from the NYC DOE. During the week of February 11th through 15th, there will be a theme surrounding Respect for each day led by Stuy’s clubs culminating in Friday’s Random Acts of Kindness Day. Additionally, On February 26th, we encourage all students and staff to wear ORANGE in recognition of Teen Dating and Sexual Assault Awareness; and on February 28th, to wear PURPLE recognizing National Eating Disorder Awareness.
