SENIORS; William P. Schliemann Scholarship worth $5K

SENIIORS:

The College Office has recently been made aware of a scholarship named in honor of a Stuyvesant Graduate, William P. Schliemann, who graduated from Stuy sometime in the late 1920s. The intent of the scholarship is to promote the post high school training of students interested in pursuing a technical (STEM) vocation. It is currently at $5,000 for a one-time grant.

Students who will pursue a STEM major in college and would like to apply just need to complete the short application form (attached) which should include your response to the prompt in the attached letter:

This scholarship was endowed by a long-term Treasurer and employee of Christ Church, Pelham, to be granted annually to a student to help them attend trade school or a targeted technical training course of study preparing that student for a particular trade profession.  Please describe your course of expected study and how it will relate to this particular scholarship focus.

Email the complete application form and any attachement you might also want to include to your assigned college counselor no later than Monday, April 26, so that we may then send them your application materials along with and official transcript and your school counselor's rec letter.

If you prefer to use a teacher rec letter rather than your school counselor, ask a teacher to email their rec directly to: patric23@optonline.net
