SENIORS - Graduation is just a few weeks away. Congratulations! The college or university in which you plan to enroll in the fall will require a final official transcript with your graduation date. The College Office will automatically send official final transcripts for graduates during the last week of June, and definitely before July 1. However, you must make sure that you have entered your attending college in Naviance. You have likely already done so, but if not:
-log in to your Naviance account
-go to "colleges I'm applying to"
-scroll down to "college that I'm attending"
-select your college
-click "update"
That's it!
How your final official transcript will be submitted depends upon the college in question:
--C.U.N.Y. institutions will download your final official transcript directly from the NYC Dept. of Education in mid-July. Those transcripts will not be sent from Stuy. If your college demands proof of graduation before then, just bring to them a copy of your diploma.
--Naviance will be used to electronically submit final transcripts to all Common Application and all SUNY institutions
--Naviance will also electronically submit final transcripts to non-Common App institutions that accept electronic submission (MIT, etc.)
--Final transcripts for outliers that cannot accept electronic submission via Naviance will be mailed (Georgetown, some out-of-state public institutions, and some overseas)
If you have a special circumstance, please speak to your college counselor BEFORE June 26, your last day at Stuy. College Counselors are not available in July and August.
