Each year, the UFT Pride Committee awards a $1,000 college scholarship to qualified high school seniors in each borough. Named for Daniel Dromm, a member of the New York City Council and Chair of the Council’s LGBTQ caucus, the scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellent and a commitment to activism in support of the LGBTQ+ community. <br/></p><p>This year, we have decided to make the application digital to make it easier for students to apply.
