This week. SENIORS received an important email from their college counselors! It is important each senior schedule their individual session with their college counselor. This is a student session; not with parents. College counselors are reaching out to seniors BY HOMEROOM to make these appointments via the link in the email.
Before they schedule, please keep in mind...
--Counselors must see students applying EA/REA/ED first. Therefore it’s important to make sure to indicate application plans in Naviance quickly.
--Counselors start with students who did not meet last year. You can't hide from me forever :)
--Students who met with counselors last spring and are NOT applying early, should schedule their appointment for after November 7th. There is a lot more time to plan.
Before meetings takes place, make sure to complete these quick and easy steps:
1-match your Common App to Naviance
2-add your rec letter requests in Naviance
3-make sure your Naviance account reflects the colleges to which you plan to apply in the "colleges I'm applying to" section. You can certainly change your mind at this point, but it helps counselors to advise you if I have an idea what you are planning at this stage.
