Mr. Harold Stephan is excited to announce a student songwriter scholarship that he created in partnership with The Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Office of Arts & Special Projects.
The poster was shared today with music teachers from all 5 boroughs.
Mr. Stephan has recused himself from the judging process so that he may nominate a Stuyvesant student.
He would like to give any senior student interested an opportunity to be considered. Simply email a copy of your original lyrics (no co-writers allowed) and a link to your song on SoundCloud, YouTube or other media (song may be performed by a different singer).
Mr. Stephan needs to choose one student nominate by May 15th, which means the latest he can accept submissions from students would be one week prior, on Friday May 8th.
