Assistant Principal of Organization and Testing Coordinator, Dr. Gary Haber shares that Wednesday, March 4, 2020 is SAT day at Stuyvesant High School, 11th graders at Stuyvesant HS (and throughout New York City) are scheduled to take the SAT (Without the Essay). Only 11th graders are eligible to take the SAT on March 4, 2020. There is no cost to students for this SAT administration. There is no need to register with the College Board for the March 4, 2020 SAT.
The NYC DOE approved Stuyvesant High School's request for a non-attendance day on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. There will be no classes. 9th, 10th, and 12th graders will not be in attendance. 11th graders are not required to take the SAT on March 4th and will not be considered absent from school if they do not take the exam.
11th graders taking the exam are to arrive at school at 7:45 am and must be in their assigned test rooms at 8:15 am.
Dr. Haber sent these instructions with room assignments: Bring two No. 2 pencils with a soft eraser. Do not bring a pen or mechanical pencil. Bring your own calculator. Make sure your calculator is in good working order with fresh batteries. A list of acceptable graphing calculators can be found online at www.sat.org/calculators. Students may bring a snack and water to be consumed in designated areas during scheduled breaks in testing. Students may read the Student Guide to the SAT School Day. Room assignments were made by official class and can be found here.. Students with College Board approved accommodations will receive their room assignments individually via email.
