The State Pre-College Enrichment Program (S-PREP) hosted by the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs at Columbia University, Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons is offering a FREE SAT & SHSAT Prep Course from January 12th to April 13th. The course is currently open to New York City: 10th & 11th Graders for the SAT course
To apply:
Applicants must be: New York State Residents;
Self-identify as:
Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American/ Alaskan Native, or Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander) or meet the economic eligibility guidelines outlined by the state (Appendix Guidelines for Student Eligibility)
And be enrolled in grade 7 – 12.
Students enrolled in S-PREP’s classes are selected on the basis of character and academic merit. Students should also maintain a minimum GPA of 80%. S-PREP requires that participating students attend consistently and give their best effort. Duly, students must be able to commit to the course schedule below.
Course Schedule
SAT: January 12th - April 13th -- Classes will be from 9 am - 11 am every Saturday with the exception of Feb 16th & 23rd

No unexcused absences will be permitted for the duration of the SAT & SHSAT courses. Any unexcused absences may result in immediate dismissal from the course. Therefore, students who are heavily involved in other extracurricular activities or pre-college exam preparation courses should seriously consider whether or not they can commit to the program.
