The Program Office has been busy working on scheduling individualized programs for all students and expects that some time during the Regents & Uniform Finals Week that we will release Spring schedules for viewing on Talos accounts. There will be an announcement made to students via their stuy.edu email which will be repeated to parents with Talos accounts. Students will be given specific instructions and directions from the Program Office that should be read thoroughly and carefully on how to make a program change request using their Talos account, if necessary. All program changes must be made through the student’s Talos account. Those instructions will be accessible to everyone on Talos under the “info” tab by clicking “documents” then “program changes”. Those documents will guide students through navigating a program change request on Talos and any questions that may come up as well as help parents understand how Program Change requests work at Stuyvesant. Parents have no ability to make program change requests in their accounts for students.
When Program Change Requests begin, a schedule will be announced which will begin with priority given to upperclassmen continue on a staggered and timed schedule. All requests are NOT first-come, first-served. There is no need for every student to try to rush to enter a change the minute requests go live online. The system randomizes the order by which Assistant Principals and Counselors review requests.
The Talos help desk is for technical questions and will not answer programming questions or requests. Parents should not call the Program Office with questions but may contact me at ringram3@schools.nyc.gov or call me at 212-312-4800 ext. 2731 with their questions and/or concerns. Students should keep their questions to counselors and/or assistant principals inside the messaging within their Talos program change request. Separate emails take longer for counselors and APs to get to during this phase and could be overlooked.
Students should receive finalized Spring schedules in homeroom on the first day of the Spring Term, January 28th or before on Talos.
