As announced, the Spring Parent Teacher Conferences (PTC) will take place on Thursday evening, 4/4 and Friday afternoon, 4/5. Conferences are all via remote phone calls. Requests for calls were submitted by families through their parent Talos accounts from March 21 through March 28. Appointments are assigned by an algorithm running after all requests are submitted. It is not. first come, first serve process. The maximum number of appointments are scheduled for each teacher during the available time slots. For more information on this, refer to the detailed instructions emailed on March 21 in ENGLISH, SPANISH, CHINESE, OR KOREAN. Appointments will be emailed to families and staff on April 2. Remember: requests are submitted in priority order; they are not a list of appointments -- due to the limited available time slots, it is more than likely, you will not receive all your requests. This is not an error.
If you did not submit your requests, please remember that PTC is only one opportunity to speak with teachers and counselors regarding your child's progress. Parent outreach is ongoing throughout the year, and requests can be made for information via email using the staff email list. You may always keep up with your child's progress on your Jupiter Grades account, which is out school wide online gradebook. While the online grade book is not a replacement for direct engagement with faculty, you will be better informed if you check it periodically. Students will be dismissed early on Friday, 4/5 and follow the special schedule.
