On January 7, the New York State Department of Health and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene issued a Health Advisory addressing immunization practices following updates to federal childhood vaccination recommendations. As noted in the advisory, these federal updates do not impact New York State or New York City school immunization requirements, nor do they alter existing state or city policies governing student attendance.
All existing immunization policies and procedures for student attendance remain in place.
