On Monday, May 22nd, 2023 Ms. Maggio and four students attended a program at the New York Blood Bank for a program that was a mix of brief lectures and tours of working laboratories specializing in blood research. Students had the opportunity to speak directly with leaders in the fields of Clinical Research on Inflammation & Molecular Cell Signaling, Stem Cells & iPSCs, Sickle Cell Disease & Iron Biology and Blood-born Parasites.
