Ms. Hua's Anthropology students share Hominid project videos

Ms. Deame Hua, Biology teacher shares that her Anthropology students participated in a project where students focused on creating different types of hominids existing in their respective environments. Ranging from the Australopithecus ramidus to the Homo erectus, groups researched the environmental and cultural background behind their chosen hominid. They used data and information they collected from their trip to the American Museum of Natural History along with knowledge gained in class to create the hominid environments, miniature hominid models with accurate dimensions, tools, prey, fire and more. In the end students formed a realistic story on how our early ancestors may have potentially lived hundreds and thousands of years ago.
