Mr. Waxman welcomes Judge James Cho in May to Social Studies

Judge James R. Cho is a federal magistrate judge with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn.  In this role, he oversees the disposition of both civil and criminal cases brought in federal court.  He was appointed for an eight-year term and is the first Korean American to serve on the Eastern District bench.
