On Tuesday, Mr. Sandler’s Jewish History classes had survivor, George Bear come to tell his story of how he survived WWII by pretending to be a Christian since he had blonde hair & blue eyes. George and his mother obtained fake identification papers claiming to be catholic Poles and lived outside the Warsaw Ghetto and witnessed the liberation by Soviet forces.
