Mr. Robert Sandler shares that a small group of students from his Jewish history class attended a panel discussion on the of Leah Koenig's new book ''Portico: Cooking and Feasting in Rome's Jewish Kitchen''. The panel took place at the Museum at Eldridge Street in the Main Sanctuary as students delved into the riveting history and aromatic foodways of Rome's Jewish community! The panel was moderated by four-time James Beard award winning chef and author Rozanne Gold and featuring New York's beloved food critic Arthur Schwartz. Students also noshed on Roman Jewish cookies, and overall, had a great time!
