Mr. Sandlers Jewish history class attend panel on Roman Jewish cooking

<p>Mr. Robert Sandler shares that a small group of students from his Jewish history class attended a panel discussion on the of Leah Koenig&#x27;s new book &#x27;&#x27;Portico: Cooking and Feasting in Rome&#x27;s Jewish Kitchen&#x27;&#x27;. The panel took place at the Museum at Eldridge Street in the Main Sanctuary as students delved into the riveting history and aromatic foodways of Rome&#x27;s Jewish community! The panel was moderated by four-time James Beard award­ winning chef and author Rozanne Gold and featuring New York&#x27;s beloved food critic Arthur Schwartz. Students also noshed  on Roman Jewish cookies, and overall, had a great time! </p><p></p>
