<p>Mr. Robert Sandler took a small group of students to the 30th annual Gilder lehrman Institute of American history Gala at the Mandarin hotel. This year GLI honored Annette Gordon-Reed the Carl M. Loeb University Professor at Harvard University and renowned law professor and scholar of American history. She has published and edited eight books, among them <i>The Hemingses of Monticello: An American Family</i> (2008), which won sixteen awards, including the Pulitzer Prize in History, the National Book Award for Nonfiction, the Frederick Douglass Book Prize, and the George Washington Prize.<br/></p>
