Mr. Arthur Griffith and Mr. Chris Suter took Engineering students on a trip to to the George Washington Bridge on Thursday last week to inspect the installation of hundreds of new cables & other innovative renovations. Students were able to climb to the top along with engineering students from Brooklyn Tech and CBS followed along and featured them. See them on the news at THIS LINK. (photos courtesy of Mr. Suter).
Students received a short briefing on what project the engineers are working on including all the surrounding roadways, the buss routs, and the main "Restoring the George" project where they are replacing all the roadway support cables over the next few years. The students got the opportunity to walk though the active construction site and up onto the temporary walkway that up runs along the main suspension cables.
