Important Information for Early Decision College Acceptances!

This is an important reminder for all students admitted to a college through Early Decision:

EARLY DECISION IS BINDING!  If you were admitted to a college through ED:

• you must withdraw any other applications you have submitted
• you may not submit any new applications
• you must commit to your ED college by their stated deadline

Our college counselors will be reviewing Naviance and other application portals like Slate to check that our students are adhering to the ED agreements signed by students and families.  Students who are found to be in violation may be subject to consequences that will have a major impact on their college enrollment plans.

Any student who was admitted to a college via ED who needs financial aid and was offered an aid package that makes attendance completely impossible can contact the college and ask to be released from the ED agreement.  In these rare cases, please contact your assigned college counselor.  If the colleges does release you, make sure to forward that confirmation to your college counselor.
