As you already know, Thursday, December 1 is the deadline to submit high school applications. Yesterday, we emailed middle school principals with which students have not yet submitted applications. Please continue to support your current students in completing the application process. School staff will be able to continue entering applications for students through Friday, December 9.
New High Schools: We are excited to announce the opening of three new schools for September 2023. These three schools all have an open admissions method and can be listed on the high school application of current 8th graders. More information about these schools can be found online at myschools.nyc.
Screened Admissions Groups and Grade Entry: We appreciate your patience as we work on ensuring that all students’ screened admissions groups are calculated in MySchools. Students’ admissions groups will continue to be calculated on a weekly basis. If you have any questions or concerns about an individual student, please email us or join our office hours (information below).
Family Virtual Events: The Office of Student Enrollment is excited to be hosting November Virtual Information sessions to support families with High School, SHSAT, and LaGuardia admissions. The events will be held through Zoom and families do not need to register to join. The dates and times are below and flyer for these events can be found here. There is one remaining event:

SHSAT Updates
SHSAT Late/Make-Up is now available in MySchools: The deadline to submit late and make up registration for students is December 2. School staff can use this functionality to support students who:
*Documentation will not be required for late or make-up registration.
Testing Accommodations for the SHSAT:
Schools with students testing at central DOE locations on weekends: If a student still needs to test and their testing accommodations are not reflected on their ticket/receipt.
HS/SHS Admissions Office Hours:
Our Office Hours continue every Wednesday from 12pm to 1pm. These office hours are to answer any questions that you may have regarding high school admissions, MySchools technical support and to help with student cases. Please note these meetings will be conducted through Zoom and we ask that you register using the link here.
