During the month of December, Stuy and the SU will host its first Holiday Door Decorating Contest for clubs, pubs and caucuses! Student organizations will be able to request to participate as a club, publication, or team to be assigned a door to decorate on this form. Each group will be assigned a door by the administration.
As we have had a number of requests for Bake Sales and fundraisers, and we cannot accommodate them all, we are offering five (5) prizes in this contest. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 23, 2022. Each prize will be transferred to their club/pub account in General School Funds to be used on club supplies, registration fees for contests, or other items within the possibility of the Standard Operating Procedures.
1st prize - $500 transferred to club account
2nd prize - $250 transferred to club account
3rd prize - $100 transferred to club account
2 runners up - $75 transferred to club account
RULES:
1. Students must apply to decorate a door as a club/pub/caucus.
2. Students must decorate only the door assigned and only between the hours of 3:45pm to 5pm.
3. Students must complete door decorating by Wednesday, December 21, 2022 by 5pm.
5. Decorations should be appropriate and abide by the the Student Code of Conduct. No food items on doors; all locks are knobs must remain accessible; doors must remain functional (open and close freely); nothing disruptive or resulting in injury may be placed on doors.
6. The club or organization that decorates the door is responsible for dismantling, proper disposal and cleaning up by Friday, January 6, 2023.
7. Each door decorated should note the name of the club/organization.
A panel of judges will decide on a winner based on theme, originality, creativity, and inclusivity to determine a winner.
