Unfortunately, as you may be well aware, many families are still experiencing technical difficulties with the FAFSA. And, as of today (March 21), FAFSA data has only begun to trickle out to colleges on a very small scale…and that process is also not free from complications.
Some colleges have pushed back their commitment deadlines for admitted students as a result. However, many colleges that require the lengthy CSS Profile will still hold students to a May 1 reply date as they can generate accurate financial aid offers based upon the data provided within the CSS.
Here are some resources that may help some families with the FAFSA, especially those where a parent contributor does not have a SSN.

If you are still having trouble filing the FAFSA, try to connect with FAFSA support when you have the time, and let your college financial aid offices know why you’ve been unable to file a FAFSA as needed.
