Events to Kick-Start Your College Search by Reed College

As the school year wraps up, join us for an array of virtual events in June that will give students all the skills they need to ace the college search and application process.
- APPLICATION BASICS – Monday, June 3, at 3:30 p.m. PDT: The college application process has a lot of moving parts, especially when it comes to the different rounds and required materials. This session is designed to walk your students through the basics and make it clear what to complete and when.
- WRITING YOUR PERSONAL STATEMENT – Thursday, June 13, at 3:30 p.m. PDT: The personal statement is like a conversation with the admission committee and a chance for your students to tell their stories. In this interactive session, we’ll explain the dos and don’ts of the essay and share examples from successful applications to Reed.
- NAVIGATING SELECTIVE COLLEGE ADMISSION – Thursday, June 20, at 3:30 p.m. PDT: We’ll unpack the college rankings system and help your students reflect on what they’re looking for in a school. They’ll walk away with tips on a successful application and strategies for applying to selective colleges.
- ACING THE INTERVIEW – Tuesday, June 25, at 4 p.m. PDT: Your students will take a deep dive into the college interview and discover how this face-to-face meeting fits into the larger application process. They will learn tips for communicating effectively and establish a mindset that will help them ace the interview.
