The Environmental Club presents the Eco-Fact of the Week for the Week of October 19, 2020
You may have heard of the two Great Pacific Garbage Patch sitting in the North Pacific that are each twice the size of France. However, those two patches are only part of the 1% of world plastic that stays afloat. The other plastic sinks down to the sea bed and stays there. While it sinks down, marine life consumes the plastic waste. Over 1 out of 3 fish in the ocean has plastic sitting in their digestive tract!
Please consider your plastic consumption and recycle them when possible!
Preserve our resources and properly sort your trash!
