<p><b>Dr. Gregor Winkel</b> shares that <b>Brianna Leung</b> and <b>Joshua Kim</b> had been selected to play in the ALL-STATE ensembles and <b>Kai Mandelbaum</b> was invited to perform in one of the NEW YORK STATE BAND DIRECTORS ACADEMY HONORS ENSEMBLES (NYBDSA).</p><p>ALL-STATE- and NYSBDA-ensembles are comprised of the best performers from high schools across the state.</p><p>To be more specific, Brianna Leung played mallet percussion (the xylophone) in the 2020 NYSSMA ALL-STATE WIND ENSEMBLE and Joshua Kim played the clarinet in the 2020 NYSSMA ALL-STATE SYMPHONIC BAND. </p><p>Kai Mandelbaum played jazz piano in the NYSBDA Honors Jazz Ensemble.</p><p>Joshua, Brianna and Kai (as a trombonist) are in Dr. Winkel's symphonic band; however, Kai is also a pianist in his Jazz Band and occasionally doubles as a flautist and trombonist.</p><p></p><p>Congratulations to all!
