On Friday, June 14th, Dr. Lenzie Ford, a post doctorate of Eric Kandel's at Columbia, a Howard Hughes fellow, and a member of the Board of Women in Science at Columbia, spoke in the auditorium. This is in conjunction with the Lasker Foundation and arranged by Dr. Jeffrey Horenstein.
She spoke to students about her research on memory, then about her work involving women in science. You may be interested to read this paper of hers, and here is the link to Women in Science at Columbia.
