The College Office at Stuyvesant High School is well trained and respected both within and outside the profession, working hard to engage in their own professional development each year, and has established strong relationships with admissions counterparts from a host of varied institutions.
Associate Director of College Counseling, Ms. Jeaurel Wilson has been appointed to the City University of New York’s Counselor Advisory Board. Ms. Wilson also serves on the Government Relations Committee of the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC).
Associate Director of College Counseling, Ms. Elizabeth Hughes has been appointed to the President’s Advisory Group of Bryn Mawr College, and has been serving on the NYSACAC College Fair Committee.
Director of College Counseling, Mr. Jeffrey Makris completed his three-year term as Co-Chair of the NYSACAC Admission Practices Committee at the conclusion of last week’s annual conference. Mr. Makris also served as a panelist for two educational sessions at the conference, Admission Practices and the NACAC CEPP, and The Other Side of the Desk; What We Wish Our Colleagues Knew About Our Work. He continues to serve on the NYSACAC Scholarship Committee and on the Counselor Advisory Boards for both Brown University and the University of Toronto.
