Stuyvesant is celebrating with the Social Studies Department! After sweeping the NYC National History Day competition, 25 students competed at the New York State NHD Cooperstown Competition on April 29th. Stuyvesant students won 15 medals and are sending seven to National NHD Competition in June!
Congratulations to Hanna Kim and Christy Guan, who won 1st place for their exhibit board on the Tragedy of the Great Fire and Triumph of Skyscraper City.
Congratulations as well to Aditi Haman, who won 2nd place for her website on The NYC Landmarks Law: Triumph Out of Tragedy; and to Penny Wang, Anna Xia, Sarah Leung and Emma Choi won 2nd place for their theatrical performance on The Cutter Incident: The Triumph over Polio and the Tragedy of Vaccine Malpractice.
