Congratulations to the class of 2024 on the 165th commencement of Stuyvesant High School last week! On June 20, 2024, we celebrated our graduates at the United Palace Theater together. The ceremony included special guest speaker, Billy Eichner (Stuy '96), who was introduced by our beloved speech & debate coach and English teacher, Mr. Julie Sheinman who is retiring this year after 40 years of dedicated service in the DOE. We also enjoyed faculty speaker Mr. Gary Rubenstein, Principal Yu, and our student speakers including Ms. Amanda Cissé (SU President), Anthony Chen (Senior Caucus co-president). Zidane Karim (Senior Caucus co-president), Pranjal Modi (Salutatorian), and Vincent D'Angelo (Valedictorian). Our Parent Association co-presidents, Ms. Neiha Bhandari and Ms. Alice Chen also addressed our families and in collaboration with the Indicator Yearbook, presented a wonderful video of our seniors. Alumni Association president, Ms. Elena Tetelbaum welcomed the class of 2024 as official Stuyvesant Alumni. Our senior chorus members performed You Raise Me Up and led us in the National Anthem with their beautiful voices. Finally Assistant Principal Ms. Casey Pedrick along with Principal Yu certified our class of 2024 graduates in their celebratory tap toss. Much thanks to Coordinator of Student Affairs, Mr. Matt Polazzo for all the months of planning and hard work on this wonderfully smooth graduation. Special thanks to our PA volunteers and the Alumni Association for their support of this amazing celebration. We are wishing all our graduates much success and happiness in their next journey ahead!
