Congrats to Stuy Robotics!!! Going to Worlds!

<div> <p>Coach, <strong>Joseph Blay</strong> shares that last weekend <strong>Stuyvesant's FRC Robotics Team, StuyPulse</strong>, <strong>Team 694</strong> competed in the <strong>New York Tech Valley Regional.</strong> StuyPulse <strong>ranked 3<sup>rd</sup></strong>  at the end of Qualification matches. This allowed them to be captains of an alliance and pick two other teams as alliance partners. StuyPulse's alliance ended up as the <strong>Regional Finalists,</strong> which <strong>qualifies them for the FRC World Championship in Detroit, Michigan, </strong>which will take place April 24<sup>th</sup> 27<sup>th</sup>. Their team also <strong>won the Entrepreneurship Award</strong>, and their mentor, <strong>Shelley </strong><strong>Grant</strong>, has <strong>won the Woodie Flowers</strong> <strong>Finalist Award</strong>. This week they competed at the Central New York Regional March 14-17<sup>th</sup>. The 694 robot, which can "float" using a suction cup is pictured below<em>.</em><em> (photos courtesy of Mr. Blay)</em></p> <p>In addition, <strong>Stuyvesant's FTC Robotics Teams, Stuy Fission 310 and Stuy Fussion 479,</strong> competed at the <strong>FTC New York City Championship</strong> at Townsend Harris High School. Only 5 teams from all of New York City qualified from the FTC New York City Championship to the World Championship. Both teams competed hard and at the end of the day, <strong>310 was able to win 3<sup>rd</sup> place for the Inspire Award which qualified them for the FTC World Championship</strong> with will be in the same venue and at the same time as the FRC World Championship. It will be In Detroit, MI and will take place April 24th-27th. <strong>This will be the first time that a Stuyvesant FTC team has ever qualified for the World Championship.</strong></p> <p><strong>Congratulations to all!</strong></p> </div>
