Stuyvesant Speech and Debate has rocked the past few weeks of competition. At the 79th Chaminade Invitational, the team took home many state qualifications, awards, and ballots. The team placed first, marking a successful showing at the largest NYC tournament of the year.
This past weekend, the team traveled to the University of Pennsylvania for the Liberty Bell Classic. Debaters sparred with national competition online while speakers braved the cold in-person. Through dedicated practice, the team had many finalists, runners-up, and champions. Most importantly, this weekend showed our camaraderie and team spirit, only successful due to the constant support of Ms. Sheinman, coach Sasan, Mr. Hannon, the administration and parents.
