Math teacher and Match Team coach, Mr. Stan Kats shares that on March 22nd and 23rd , six Stuyvesant students participated in the USA Mathematical Olympiad and Junior Mathematical Olympiad competitions. Ian Buchanan ('25) and Andrew Li ('24) partook in the Junior Olympiad while John Gupta-She ('23), Paul Gutkovich ('23), Maxwell Zen ('22) and Rishabh Das ('22) took the Olympiad.
We are thrilled to report that Rishabh Das won a gold medal at the competition, ranking top 10 in the country, and Paul Gutkovich won a bronze medal. Congratulations to all participants and to the two medalists!
