Congratulations to Mark Tsybulski on the publication of his research paper in The Journal of High School Science! Congratulations to his mentor teacher Mr.Jason Econome for supporting Mark with his work as well.
Check out his research at this link. His research is titled "Sustainable Production of Copper(I) Chloride Using Electrolytic Synthesis" and addresses a novel method for synthesizing Copper(I) Chloride (Patent Pending) using only renewable energy, as opposed to the conventional fossil fuel-dependent process. The method he developed, which involves electrolysis, filtration, and subsequent chemical purification, emits over 2 times less greenhouse gasses than current industrial methods. Transitioning to this new method could have an environmental impact equivalent to planting over 25 million trees.
